About Ivy Carter

Hi, I’m Ivy Carter. I am ecstatic that you’ve found yourself on my site! I am a Nature and Landscape Photographer/Author from Beaufort South Carolina that presently resides in Northern Virginia right outside of D.C. (DMV). Photography is my means to share the wonderful moments I get to spend in nature. My passion for the natural world has led me to spend countless hours observing and learning more about it. I’m obsessed with watching the sunrise and documenting unusual attitudes and behaviors that I see while watching wild animals. I spend a lot of time in our Nations State Parks, Meadows, and Wildlife Refuges in my local area (MOST of these places are free).

During my past 7 years as a Nature and Landscape Photographer, I’ve noticed that few people truly “know” their local environments, and that their knowledge of animals is often limited. As a professional Nature and Landscape Photographer, I take photographs of nature to sell them, but to also to bring up the awareness of the natural world and to remind people of the fragility of well known species that live near them.

My mission is to assist in “bridging the gap” between the natural world and ourselves; to show that we all are ONE.
